The Philosophy of Rural Development

Rural development means the development of the villagers and villages.

Bangladesh is a land of villages, with around 70% of the population residing in rural areas. The true prosperity of the country depends on the welfare of these communities, not solely on urban development. Although agricultural development constitutes a major part of it, rural development is a broader process aiming at the overall growth of the rural economy. Farmers are the hub of this economy—we must improve their livelihoods through dedicated studies and research.

Vision

To be the “Center of Excellence” in the field of rural development.

Mission

  • Sustainable rural development through education and research.
